Honestly, I started YSLA because I was frustrated with my own wardrobe.

I have activewear I like. But every gym set I owned was too gym coded. Leggings that scream leg day, sets that only make sense next to a squat rack. I wanted the comfort of activewear without looking like I was on a gym break.

That piece didn't really exist. Not the way I wanted it. Everything was either athletic, branded and loud, or expensive lounge you can't actually move in. There wasn't much in the middle.

So I made it.

YSLA is designed in Helsinki and shipped worldwide. Every piece works as a set.

Soft Sculpt was the first collection I started with, and the fabric is still my favourite part. It's super smooth and buttery soft, but it holds its shape, so it sculpts without squeezing. You can train in it and keep it on for the rest of the day.

The colours stay quiet: cream, oxblood, brown, black. These are pieces you wear all day, not a uniform for the gym.

I care about the small things. The way a waistband sits. The exact tone of cream that reads soft, not stark. The moment a customer messages me saying she wore her set out and someone asked where it was from.

YSLA is still small, and it's growing. Right now I'm behind every part of it: the pieces I design, the messages I answer, the decisions about which shade we make next. Our production partners handle the making and shipping.
